All Physios at Tan Hands use the ConnectTherapy framework developed by Dr LJ Lee to assess & treat. It is a framework that helps understand how your body parts affect each other, and it is helpful to best find the source of your symptoms.
It naturally builds on the platform of skills that physiotherapists have in assessing and treating different joints in the body. It encompasses a modern understanding of the body, up to date information coming from the pain sciences, and a client based approach.
A typical assessment using this framework involves watching and feeling how your body moves, then applying local pressure to different regions of your body to see how they effect another area. For example, if you have back pain, we do not just look at how your back moves, we look at how you whole body moves to find out the cause of your pain. Our experience tells us that sometimes the cause of your pain lies beyond the area where you are getting the pain signals.
Our aim is to treat you as an individual in a holistic way, which may involve understanding how your beliefs, emotions, physical impairments and psychosocial factors could all be related to the pain you are experiencing.
The range of the treatments that we provide may include:
- Sports Rehabilitation
- Manual & Manipulative Therapy
- Massage Therapy – Deep Tissue/Sports/Swedish
- Dry Needling
- Sarah Key Techniques
- Exercise Plans
- Workplace Assessment (Ergonomics)
- Pre-employment Screening
- Orthotic prescription
- Kinesio Taping
All treatments are one on one. You are important to us and we won’t have you lying on the bed while we are off treating someone else. There is no double handling of patients.
We guarantee that if you are unhappy with the quality of any session at Tan Hands Physiotherapy, we will provide you a full refund for that session.
